The office of the Mountain-River-Lake Development committee of Jiangxi Province requested capacity development technical assistance from the Asian Development bank for Natural Disaster Risk Management in the Southern Mountain Area in Jiangxi.

HJI Group provided the consulting services to create an Integrated Disaster Risk Management (IDRM) Plan for the client, this plan will serve the local community to address disaster risks in a systematic manner. By implementing the IDRM plan communities have increased:

1. Awareness and understanding for disaster risks and climate change;
2. Knowledge to cope with risks and to adapt to changes;
3. Capacities to prevent the further increase of risks and to reduce existing risks;
4. Capacities to effectively respond to and recover from disasters
